This article is for anyone at any level. So if you are interested in graphic design

And consider becoming a graphic designer,

In this article, I am going to try to answer this question and you have to focus on it from my experience.

So what is graphic design? Well, let's start. So with graphic design, we have two things:

We have graphics and designs.

The graphic is visualization, which is associated with art, imagination, and expression, encompassing many mediums such as drawing painting engraving or giving clear and unambiguous detail.

Or in common language, called graphics design to convey to the audience through image, text, color, symbol, and design. Which is known as visual communication visual design or visual composition?
So the graphic part of graphic design is made up of visual elements, the building blocks of design. Following are the basic visual elements that combine to create a graphic design:

Line, color, shape, texture, space, form, and typography.

Through the rigor of our artistic expression, we choose these visual elements and arrange them on a surface in a layout, to briefly convey an idea.

Now the second part is designed, which has to decide the look and function of something before making. So is design thinking, problem solving and practicality…. theory.

Graphic design has rules that can be considered. These rules are called 'principles of design'. These principles are related to each other and appear in every good design of the work you have seen. Design principles make the design. In 'Graphic Design'. A good understanding of design theory will mean that there is always substance behind your work.

The key principles of design are:

In contrast, hierarchy, alignment, balance, proximity, repetition, simplicity and function.

When we bring both visual elements and design principles together, we have the graphic design. It's not drawing, it's not painting, it's not making posters or quick logos on your computer, these things are a means to an end and skills in themselves.

It is not about making things beautiful, it is the organization and presentation of information developed through the creative process for a particular task.

In graphic design we have to first look for information, a message or a brief and then research, think, visualize and develop and create a solution, a concept, in order to convey that information, to visualize a story, a message or an idea. To be told in a manner. It is only once we have a concrete idea that has been developed through the design process, we can use our skills with layout, color, typography and creative tools to bring the idea to life.

Once that was on paper with just the help of a pencil or paintbrush. It is all those things and more. Today we also have cameras, computers, and printers, since the invention of the print press that enabled mass reproduction, it has been used to communicate and spread messages around the world. Through the development of technology, today we are surrounded by an abundance of visual communication. Today it has been implemented across a broad spectrum of media such as both print and digital:

Advertising, branding, web design, interface design, magazine layout, paper engineering and packaging, TV, motion graphics, infographics, signage, art and installations, and digital art. If you want to pursue a career in graphic design, you will inevitably build work in one of those areas. In the last several decades it has shaped culture through pop art, political art, and commercial art.
Today graphic design has a big business side, it is very much associated with commerce and is used to sell and advertise things, but that should not be all. The power of graphic design can also be used to inform, influence, and direct a professional level. Educate and inspire a generation. I believe that graphic design is a unity of two opposing forces, artistic expression, and practical application, design theory.

As a graphic designer, these two strengths will always be with each other in your mind. When you can combine these two forces together in harmony, you can create great visual communication. So that is an introduction to what graphic design is. For any of you who were unsure of what graphic design is. In this article, I mentioned that graphic design is made up of visual elements and design principles of two things.

I hope that helped explain.
